Filmmaking degree course at Prague Film Institute is 2 years intensive hands-on program designed to master knowledge of students chosen filmmaking specialisation. During the first year students will be studying together with students of the 1-year filmmaking course, learn filmmaking basics and shoot a short festival-worthy film. students will end the first year with BTEC Higher Nationals Certificate (HNC). The second year, when students have more experience and knowledge, students will focus on enhancing the quality of their diploma film and strengthening connections in the filmmaking industry thanks to internship opportunities. Students will get a chance to tighten connections with school partners, which can lead to serious job placements in the future. Second year of filmmaking degree course ends with BTEC HND.

The BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) is equivalent to a foundation degree, i.e. first 2 years of Honours Bachelor’s Degree. Students can easily progress to Bachelor’s degree by joining the final year of other three-year Bachelor programs at different institutions worldwide.
